Loom & Luther is the Apexus Crest ecosystem's sustainable personal care brand — built on the belief that conscious living should not be a luxury reserved for developed markets. Eco-friendly personal care is critically underdeveloped across many African markets. That gap is Loom & Luther's opportunity.


The hero product is the Luffa Soap — a dual-function handcrafted soap and natural exfoliating scrub, manufactured entirely in-house. It launches in four named variants: Velour, Pelagic, Soleil, and Meridian — each carrying a distinct scent, colour identity, and emotional character designed to sell the moment before the product is ever read.


Every bar carries one of twenty collectible fortune messages — a campaign mechanic that borrows from fortune cookie culture, the Coca-Cola share-a-name experience, and the mystery of bubblegum wrappers. People buy to see what theirs says. They return to find a different one. The Signature Bundle — two soap variants, colour-coordinated bath gloves, a wooden toothbrush, and a fluffy towel — is packaged as a curated lifestyle experience, not a hygiene product.

Crest Nexus is the technology and artificial intelligence SBU of Apexus Crest — responsible for building, maintaining, and distributing the AI and digital infrastructure that powers the entire ecosystem. It operates both internally, as the intelligence layer behind every other SBU, and externally, as a standalone technology offering for African businesses.


The flagship internal product is Rowan — the ecosystem-wide AI system that monitors seller performance on Crest Curated, powers operational intelligence, and integrates contextual African data into its decision-making. Julian, the consumer-facing AI concierge for Crest Curated, operates in English, Shona, and Ndebele. Honeycomb is the BaaS/IaaS layer that gives Curated sellers the backend infrastructure they need to scale.


Nexus exists because Africa needs AI that understands Africa. Not translated tools, not adapted platforms — original systems built with African context at the centre of the design. That is the defensible moat. That is the long-term vision.

The Mikres Series — Deeper Format

Closer to a full e-book. Designed for the founder or thinker who wants to understand a topic properly — consumer psychology, brand positioning, pricing strategy, financial literacy. Crest Curated is Zimbabwe's first Core to Crest Commerce platform — a category Apexus Crest is not joining but defining. Core to Crest Commerce is the commercial model where curation itself is the product: where the standard of selection is as valuable as what is selected. Crest Curated is the founding expression of that category in Southern Africa, and our objective is to shape it, define it, and dominate it.


The business model is built on value addition. When an external partner joins the platform, Crest Curated does not simply list their product — it transforms it. Branding, packaging design, market positioning, and storytelling are applied before a product goes live — and it is listed at the price that reflects its true value.


We approve fewer than 2% of seller applications. Not to perform exclusivity — but because the standard is the product. The moment the standard drops, Crest Curated becomes just another marketplace. That is not a risk we will take.
